I am simply amazed with the wisdom NASA showed in picking Neil Armstrong for the moon landing.

He was one of the top astronauts – perfect physical qualities and a huge brain – but they had a roomful of men like him. Neil also had an amazing emotional aptitude to deal with fame.
Walking on the Moon would make him the most famous living person. Imagine the pressure. Neil handled it with great aplomb. He actually played down his importance and role – he was just part of a bigger team.
Fame is enticing, but it chews many people up and spits them out. Every month we hear about a celebrity or politician or sports person who has succumb to fame. What about the others we don’t hear about?
If you don’t have fame, maybe it’s God protecting you from its wrath!
