One in three Aussies were born overseas. Think about that. One in three of us were born somewhere else, but now call Australia home.

When you count how many of us have parents who were born overseas too, the totals are remarkable.
Given that immigration is often in the news as a scapegoat of politicians – an easy target to blame for all of society’s ills – we need to challenge that. Virtually everyone you know and work with and relate to is an immigrant or started that way.
Don’t believe the hype. Immigration is good. Difference is healthy. Of course, we need to do it sensibly, and work on integration – but anyone who wants to blame immigration for all our problems, doesn’t have any solutions.
