I remember living in Armidale in New South Wales during my university days. Armidale, unlike a lot of Australia, enjoys four very distinct seasons – summer, winter, autumn and spring.

It was my first spring there. The days were warming up, the sun shining, the birds singing. Flowers were coming into bloom, animals were frolicking – I found myself experiencing a real natural euphoria I couldn’t easily explain!
It was like I was in love (without the girl), walking on cloud nine. I suddenly realised, it was spring! Spring was doing something to me. Lifting my mood, filling me with hope, filling me with joy.
In the northern hemisphere, Easter collides with spring. Out of the bleakness of winter the Son rises again!
Something God had sown into creation comes to fulfillment with Jesus. Spring isn’t simply a temporary season, it is an eternal hope!
Do you know the euphoria of Easter?
