About 80 performers took part in the three hour Stations of the Cross on Friday as part of the World Youth Day celebrations. The re-enactment took place over 13 stages – starting with the Last Supper and culminating with Jesus’ body being brought down from the cross – at a range of venues across Sydney’s CBD. It’s based on a tradition started by early Christian pilgrims when visiting Jerusalem. Photographer RAMON WILLIAMS caught some of the action on Sydney’s streets…
